Financial Planning for Women in Oklahoma City
Fiduciary. Independent. Women-led.
For more than 30 years, Advance Financial Lighthouse has provided financial planning for women in Oklahoma City and nationwide — through every transition, every season, every chapter of building the life you want.
Financial Advice for Women in Every Season of Life
Women’s Wealth Management Is Not a Service We Added. It Is the Foundation of Everything We Do.
Fiduciary financial planning for women, by an advisor who has walked beside hundreds of them.
Many financial advisory firms treat women as an afterthought — a niche they serve when a woman happens to walk through the door. Advance Financial Lighthouse was built the other way. Kathy Williams, RFC®, founded this firm with a clear focus: provide fiduciary financial planning for women grounded in values-based planning — financial advice for women who want a financial advisor who understands the decisions women actually face.
Women often carry financial weight that traditional wealth management models can miss. Career interruptions for caregiving. Longer life expectancy than spouses. Wage gaps that may compound across decades. Inheritance from a parent. Settlement from a divorce. Income shifts from a business sale, a death, or a remarriage. Each transition asks for a different kind of guidance, and most of them arrive without warning.
As a fiduciary financial planner for women, we are required to put your interests first — on every advisory recommendation we make. We also offer financial planning for couples navigating these decisions together.
Three decades of sitting across this desk from women who trusted me with their futures — their first homes, their children’s education, their retirement, their legacies. Financial planning is not about products or projections. It is about people. It is about being there when the market dips, the marriage ends, the spouse passes, or the next chapter begins. That is the work. That is the relationship.
Financial Planning After Divorce in Oklahoma City and Beyond
Restarting on your own terms.
Divorce changes a great deal that is financial — account ownership, retirement accounts, tax filing status, insurance, the home, the children’s college funds. The choices made in the months after a settlement often shape the years that follow. We provide financial planning after divorce in Oklahoma City and nationwide — helping women understand their options and rebuild a plan that reflects their new life.
Compassionate Financial Guidance After the Loss of a Spouse
First steps, then the long road. Together.
Becoming a widow does not arrive with a financial instruction manual. Survivor benefits, estate settlement, account retitling, insurance proceeds, and many administrative decisions arrive during grief — often with deadlines. We provide financial guidance for widows with a steady, unhurried approach, prioritizing what cannot wait so other decisions can be made when the timing is right.

Planning that fits whether you stay home, go back to work, or chart a different path.
Stay-at-home moms have unique financial planning considerations that often go unaddressed. Important areas include:
Built by a Black Woman. Built for Black Women.
Planning that honors the work, the family, and the future you are building.
Black women are carrying careers, businesses, families, and the work of building generational wealth often from the first generation up. We provide financial planning for Black women that respects what you are building, the people you are building it for, and the future you intend to leave behind. Kathy Williams, RFC®, is also a member of the AAAA community and serves Black families across Oklahoma City and nationwide.
You Built Something. Let Us Help It Build You Back.
Business and personal finances, planned together.
For many women business owners, personal and business financial plans run on separate tracks. Retirement plan options for owners, owner compensation strategy, tax planning across both, and eventual succession all belong in one coordinated approach — so the business serves the future you are building, not just the present.
What Women Often Ask Before Working With Us
Do I need a financial advisor who focuses on financial planning for women?
Not every woman needs a financial advisor who specializes in women specifically, but many find the experience meaningfully different. Women often face financial decisions tied to specific life events — divorce, widowhood, caregiving, returning to work, sudden wealth — that may benefit from an advisor who has worked with women through those transitions. At Advance Financial Lighthouse, financial planning for women is the foundation of our practice.
What is a fiduciary financial advisor?
A fiduciary is required to act in the client’s best interest when providing investment advisory services. Advance Financial Lighthouse provides advisory services on a fiduciary basis through Osaic Wealth, Inc., and on every advisory recommendation we make, your interests come first.
Do you work with women going through divorce?
Yes. We help women understand the financial implications of divorce settlements, restart financial plans after divorce, and work toward long-term financial independence on their own terms.
Can my husband or partner attend meetings with me?
Absolutely. We honor partnership in marriage, and both spouses are welcome at every meeting. We also offer dedicated financial planning for couples in their peak earning years, with both partners at the table and every decision made together.
Can stay-at-home moms benefit from financial planning?
Often, yes. Stay-at-home moms may have considerable benefit from financial planning that accounts for time out of the workforce, Social Security considerations, spousal IRA contributions, and longer-term protection planning. We work with stay-at-home moms across all of these areas.
Is Advance Financial Lighthouse only for women in Oklahoma City?
We are based in Oklahoma City and serve clients nationwide. Many meetings are held by video, with the same depth and quality of planning regardless of location.
